How we got here
Back in April of 2017, my son Luke and I went on a Boy Scout high adventure sailing trip. On that trip, a friend of ours mentioned something called "The Great Loop". She had met some people doing the loop and as I learned more, I was hooked. In August off 2017 we went about finding our Great Loop boat and we found her in Ludington, Michigan and her name was Patriot, a 32 foot Nordic Tug built in 2000.
In the ensuing years, we have made many upgrades to Patriot, myself included, I got my Coast Guard Captain's license and we have spent many days cruising the great lakes every summer since then. Now we are about to depart on our greatest adventure, The Great Loop, a 5,500+ mile, year long adventure that will take us around the eastern half of the United States, to the Bahamas and into Canada.

Here are a few pictures of Patriot, our home for the next year while we complete the Great Loop. We bought her in in Ludington, Michigan back in 2017 and she has already been around The Loop once with her previous owners back in 2015, so hopefully she knows her way around already.
